So I have this thing where when I want to work on one thing, I suddenly get inspiration for something else entirely. Meaning that since lately I've been trying to get my fic going again, I've been completely unable to concentrate on the fic and have instead been drawing like crazy. The pic of my MMO character is about half done (not counting background) and I finished the lineart on a dragon picture. I bet that when November rolls around and I want to work on NaNoWriMo, I'll come up with three new fic chapters or something like that.
This is why I need my friends to keep me on track, you see? It's all your fault for not poking me enough, imouto-chan! |

As of 10:45 Central time, Obama has 338 electoral votes and McCain 155. I do believe we have our next president.
Regardless of which side people chose, who they voted for or whether they voted at all, this is a historic day. I'm not usually one to make an issue of skin color, but I am proud that we've overcome our country's past -not completely, not yet- but enough to have a black man as the leader of our country. |

Edit: Yeah, so I saw The Dark Knight on Friday. It is now on my Best Movies Ever list, along with Serenity and Transformers.
Also I love my friends for being able to have a two-hour-long discussion on character archetypes, deconstructions of character archetypes, psychology, and politics in relation to Batman. And then telling stupid Batman jokes. |

Well, I'm back with lots of fun new stuff and pretty pictures, but I left my camera in my friend's car. Soon as I get it back, I'll upload stuff!
I wasn't expecting many people to recognize my Albel costume, but I got some people taking pictures of me, and one guy even glomped me, so I'm happy. Also, a lot of people loved the costume I made my friend Katy. |

HIGHLIGHTS OF MY DAY:
1: Took stupid pictures of Transformers toys.
2: Manager almost burned down the cafeteria.
3: Totally one-upped the Noisy Suitemates.
...
1: Yeah. I was bored, my friend was bored, she had tiny doll-sized wine bottles, just the right size for our toys to hold. Fun times were had.
2: Okay, that's an exaggeration. Real story is, one of the burners at the stir-fry bar malfunctioned when the manager tried to change fuel cans. Instead of flame under the pan, the fuel can caught fire. He dumped water on it before anything worse happened, fortunately.
3: This one takes a bit of backstory. The Noisy Ones have been getting bad again recently, meaning I and the others have been having to ask them to keep it down more often. Apparently they're getting annoyed, and hid the TV remote in their room a couple days ago. The TV is weird and half-broken, and does not work without the remote. Anytime someone wants to watch TV (which I do often, mostly as background entertainment while I'm working on essays), they have to ask them for it. So, instead of playing their game, I dug out my tiny TV and brought it out into the main room. The screen's only about the size of my laptop, and there's no remote, but it works just fine.
Don't know quite what they think of it yet, but one of The Noisy Ones walked in, stopped and stared at my TV next to the other one, then turned around and left again. |

I've got this crazy idea that at some point this will be turned into a fanfic or art journal.
Umm, yeah. Considering how I procrastinate that'll probably happen sometime about... 2009? Possibly.
Anyway, seeing as how I don't want to forget about this journal completely, I'll make a list of fics and/or stories that I'd like to actually do at some point in time.
-Stargate SG1/FF7 crossover
-Stargate SG1/Transformers crossover
-That NaNovel that I started.
Actually, That NaNovel could be any of three stories- the one with the boy and the genetically modified not-a-cat, the one with the necromancer, or the one with the magic war that leads to society rejecting mages that I have no idea where it's going. And then there's the thing with the demon running a day-care in Austin.
...actually, put like that, they all sound kind of stupid. Oh well.
Next, pictures I want to do.
-That 4-piece series with Suzaku, Byakko, Seiryu, and Genbu. (Suzaku's lineart is done, Byakko is kind of started in Photoshop)
-A better version of that 15-minute sketch of Altair as an Autobot
-FF7 fanart with Seph looking harassed yet smiling, with Zack gesturing about something in the background
-FF7 fanart of this idea I had late last night, with Seph and Cloud in yukata (is that the right one for guys? I don't remember.) playing Go
And yeah, I'm totally aware that I'm blogging to myself. But if I don't remind myself somewhere, I'll forget entirely. |
